SiGMA Asia secures PAGCOR endorsement ahead of 2026 return

PAGCOR is supporting the SiGMA Asia Summit on April 27, 2026, through an official letter from Mr Alejandro H. Tengco, Chairperson and CEO of PAGCOR.

The summit will be held at the SMX Convention Centre in Pasay City from 31 May to 03 June 2026.

Through this endorsement from PAGCOR, the Philippine government has shown its confidence in the SiGMA Asia Summit and its relevance to trends in advancing the country’s regulated gaming and FinTech industries. Additionally, PAGCOR’s endorsement indicates that the summit is significant within the country’s broader economic development programs.

Platform for industry alignment

PAGCOR highlighted that the summit provided an opportunity for a diverse group of stakeholders across sectors, including government, operators, technology vendors, and investors, to meet and engage with one another. Additionally, the summit will facilitate the creation of new ways to promote sustainable development through partnerships.

The Philippines has seen considerable growth across many aspects of regulated gaming and financial technology, driven by a favourable regulatory environment and rising digital adoption. The SiGMA Asia Summit will play an integral role in stimulating collaboration and will be a location where compliance, innovation and business development will all share the same space.

Tengco reiterated that events such as SiGMA Asia have strengthened the Philippines’ regional competitive advantage. By attracting global leaders and innovative thinkers, the summit is expected to provide participants with an opportunity to share knowledge and help develop progressive strategies that address opportunities and regulatory constraints.

Spotlight on Philippine growth

PAGCOR has demonstrated its commitment to initiatives that will create a measurable socioeconomic impact through project development. As the government’s national gaming regulator and steward, PAGCOR oversees the gaming industry and related businesses through regulation and guidance aligned with government priorities.

The summit will highlight the Philippines as an investment and innovation destination, with metropolitan Manila as the focal point for regional outreach.

The first half of the event will focus on connecting with others, and the second half will focus on actionable insights, forming strategic partnerships with other organisations, and regulatory updates. These three topics are all significant in driving the future of gaming/financial technology. They align with PAGCOR’s commitment to developing a sustainable gaming ecosystem grounded in innovation and a robust regulatory framework.

Driving long-term impact

The endorsement from PAGCOR provides significant assurance to industry participants and further bolsters the summit’s trust and credibility, encouraging local and international stakeholders to participate while ensuring PAGCOR regulations are respected. The organisation stated that it would work closely with SiGMA Asia and its partners to deliver valuable results for the gaming industry.

As the event approaches, the SiGMA Asia Summit will play a major role in strengthening business regulation in the Philippines. The combination of experts, investments and innovative technologies in Manila will provide long-lasting benefits to the country and ultimately help the Philippines achieve its goal of becoming one of the leaders in Asia in Digitally Regulated Industries.

The endorsement gives delegates great confidence that the summit aligns with the country’s strategic objectives and offers a clearer path toward achieving national development goals. With support from regulators and participation from all sectors of the industry, the summit will generate significant engagement across all Industry verticals.
