How blockchain could change player intelligence in crypto casinos
During SiGMA Asia, Manila our host Surya Palli caught up with Artsemi Karpovich, Head of Sales at Citron Analytics, to understand how blockchain analytics could change the way crypto casinos think about retention.

Instead of relying only on deposits and gameplay, operators can now understand what publicly available blockchain data says about a player and use that information to make smarter decisions.
Here are the biggest takeaways from our conversation.
Every crypto wallet tells a bigger story
Most operators only see player deposits.
But according to Artsemi, that's only a tiny part of the picture.
Every crypto transaction leaves public information on the blockchain. The challenge is turning millions of transactions into something useful.
That's exactly why Citron Analytics was built.
As Artsemi explained,
"We just took public information, built some software, added AI chat there as well, and transformed it into market intelligence."
A $10 deposit doesn't always mean a low-value player
We asked Artsemi for an example because we were quite confused and it was so innovative that we couldn't think of anything similar. The example goes like:
A player deposits just 10 USDT.
Normally, most operators would treat them like any other small depositor.
But blockchain can put you on to some different information. Same wallet might actually hold 10,000 USDT.
So now instead of offering the same campaign to everyone, operators can identify players who have significantly more spending power and approach them differently.
As Artsemi explained, this allows retention teams to build offers based on a player's actual wallet activity instead of just the amount of a single deposit.
Retention doesn't stop after a player leaves your casino
This might have been the most interesting part of the conversation.
Imagine a player depositing today.
Tomorrow they win 10,000 USDT at another casino.
Normally, you won't know that
With blockchain monitoring, it becomes accessible.
Citron Analytics can notify operators whenever significant activity happens on a tracked wallet.
As Surya asked,
"Irrespective of the casino itself?"
Artsemi's answer was simple.
"It doesn't matter."
For retention teams, timing can suddenly become much more powerful.
Blockchain is public. Player identities aren't
One obvious question is privacy.
If operators are monitoring wallets, how much personal information is actually visible?
Artsemi clarified that Citron Analytics never identifies the individual behind a wallet.
Everything they use comes from public blockchain data.
The casino already knows which customer owns the wallet.
The platform simply provides additional blockchain intelligence that operators can combine with their own customer data if they choose.
AI becomes useful when it already knows the data
AI is everywhere.
But instead of building another chatbot, Citron Analytics trained its AI using blockchain information already available inside the platform.
Operators can ask simple questions like:
- Which wallets were most active this week?
- Which players deserve special attention?
- What type of campaign should we run for these users?
Instead of searching dashboards manually, the AI returns answers using the available wallet intelligence.
Crypto casinos are becoming more data-driven
As crypto gaming grows, operators are competing for many of the same players.
Wallet behaviour, activity across the blockchain and real-time notifications could become another layer of competitive advantage.
Artsemi believes this is only the beginning.
The company already has 20-25 operators on its waiting list, including two of the industry's largest crypto casinos preparing to test the platform.
"There's nothing like this."
Surya asked the obvious question.
"Are you sure there's no one else doing this?"
Artsemi didn't hesitate.
"100%."
Whether competitors appear in the future remains to be seen.
For now, blockchain analytics is opening up a new way for crypto operators to understand their players beyond what happens inside their own casino.
What stood out to us
- A player's first deposit doesn't tell the whole story.
- Privacy is prioritised
- Wallet activity can create new opportunities long after a player leaves your platform.
- AI becomes much more useful when it's trained on meaningful operational data.
- Crypto casinos are moving towards deeper player intelligence rather than just transaction tracking.
